Yash Reddi is a student at Harrow International School, Bengaluru, with a strong interest in understanding how advanced mathematics and economic frameworks can be applied to build sustainable entrepreneurial ventures that add value to national economies. This motivated him to participate in the summer school program offered by New York University, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Business Start-ups. Understanding how different entrepreneurs had charted their pathways to build successful ventures, Yash decided to create a project like “WasteMatters” that reflects his entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work with community members to clean the planet of its waste.
On the other front, Yash cohabits the domains of sports and arts simultaneously. As a trained drummer, Yash has acquired accolades across Trinity Rock and Pop examinations. As a sportsperson, he wears multiple hats. He is a trained football player who, as a striker, has been a valued player on his school team. He is also a proficient kickboxer, with six years of training in various kicking techniques and self-defense strategies. Additionally, he has trained himself in swimming for the past nine years, consistently maintaining a top-two position in swimming tournaments at his school since 2024.
